Ill say it, buying a house is stressful, and I am a licensed realtor. My income is considered "inconsistent" and my husband owns his own company, which also makes things difficult. The last time we bought a house the lending side was a nightmare, we didn't close on time, which lead to us being homeless for a week and a half... with a dog =( so naturally I was stressed, and rather pessimistic about going thru this process again. Our landlord was selling our home and we were desperate to find a place to live, but everyone kept turning us down because I had messed up my credit during a bad divorce. I thought we were going to be homeless, which was crazy since we make good money. But JB told me exactly what to do and I did it. He actually told me I was one of the easiest people he had ever worked with because no matter what he and Lynn asked for, I gave it to them right away. I appreciated that because other mortgage brokers had just turned their backs when I asked for help. My situation was especially tricky, but JB and Lynn were patient and kind. They explained everything and answered my questions on weekends and at night. We closed on our house a little over a week ago. I couldn't be more thankful to them both.

I moved from Massachusetts to Florida during the pandemic in 2020 with my wife and kids. Got linked up with JB a couple weeks after. He helped us get our first loan! Everything was straight forward with paper work. Any time you ask him a question either thru email with Lynn or a text to JB he would respond with quick with clear understandable words and no run arounds. Today June 2nd 2023 we are back with JB and closed on another loan. The process for the second loan was even FASTER then the first one. I know this is long but please take a couple minutes to read it.JB at Island Coast Mortgage was a life saver. My wife and I had been browsing for a new home and hadn’t completed any of the pre-approval paperwork because we didn’t think we were going to find anything we really liked. A home became available but we needed a pre-approval letter very quickly. The institution holding the mortgage on the house we were living in at the time told us it could take up to 30 days for a second mortgage pre-approval letter. We had our paperwork to JB quickly and he provided us with a pre-approval letter the next day. If it hadn’t been for JB and Island Coast Mortgage I don’t think we would have gotten the house. I’d recommend him 100%!

If you've never worked with a mortgage broker, it is a real revelation. Your bank is going to string you along and do what's best for the bank. The companies that advertise on TV are gigantic bureaucracies and have to make up the cost of that advertising. They hire inexperienced people who are apt to foul things up.
